A TOWN centre roller rink could be turned into a nine-storey apartment block with more than 100 flats.
Skate Academy on Academy Street could be demolished to make way for 114 apartments plus retail units.
The roller rink, which opened in the former Kwik Save store in 2010, has been vacant since earlier this year.
Lane End Developments has consulted with Warrington Borough Council over environmental screenings, with a full planning application for the scheme expected in the near future.
An apartment block, which would be between five and nine storeys high, would house 24 one or two-bedroom units plus 110 two to four-bedroom flats.
Plans for up to 650sq m of retail space on the ground floor of the development as well as 63 parking spaces are also included in the proposals.
