A LISTED pub has been granted retrospective planning permission for a new smoking shelter.
The Famous King and Queen on Padgate Lane, which dates back to 1909, was given a full refurbishment in April, including a smoking shelter and wheelchair ramp.
But planning permission for the shelter and ramp was not sought prior to the development.
Brewery Greene King had applied for retrospective planning permission for the development, which has now been granted by Warrington Borough Council.
