A COUPLE have bravely opened up about the emotional rollercoaster they have faced to fulfil their family dream.

Kellie Walker and Jonathan Moss, from Orford, are desperate to have a child together but it has been a heartbreaking two years for the couple.

Their lives were first turned upside in April 2015 when Kellie suffered her first miscarriage as they tried to grow their family.

The couple were left devastated by the news but they were give hope when four months later the 25-year-old discovered she was pregnant again.

"We were both over the moon and very excited," said Kellie.

"But in the October I started to experience a lot of pain.

"I went to the hospital to be told I was having another miscarriage.

"I was sent home that day but the pain got worse and worse."

Two weeks later Kellie was told she was actually having an ectopic pregnancy.

While the couple were once again left heartbroken, they were told they could try again in three months – one year later Kellie was pregnant again.

But at her first scan, she was told that she had suffered another ectopic pregnancy and this time she needed to have keyhole surgery.

But while in theatre, there were complications.

Further tests confirmed that Kellie would be unable to fall pregnant naturally – now her only option was IVF.

She said: "We looked into IVF and we spoke to my consultant about it.

"But I was told I don't fall under the funding criteria as my partner has a child from a previous relationship.

"The bad news seemed never ending and the last two years have been horrific for us both."

But the couple have refused to give up and hosted a fundraiser earlier this year raising £1,157 – the minimum cost for IVF stands at £3,900.

Kelly said: “I want to say a huge thank you to all who have supported us and donated.”

The couple are now planning a charity day in Rochdale to raise further funds.
