TRAFFIC on town centre roads will become busier thanks to HS2.
Government documents reveal that Warrington Bank Quay is one of two conventional stations on the high speed rail route through the north west which will see an increase of more than 700 passengers a day when the line opens.
The scheme will cause 'increased traffic' in the area.
It is also likely to put pressure on parking near the station and will have a 'significant' effect on the drop off zone, creating extra traffic on Wilson Patten Street and Parker Street.
