HUNDREDS of fans lined the streets surrounding the Halliwell Jones Stadium this morning as an 11-year-old supporter made one final visit to the home of his beloved Warrington Wolves before his funeral.
Joshua Morris was set to lead his team out as mascot earlier this month as the Wire took on Leigh Centurions on what would have been his 12th birthday, Friday, July 7.
But the Longford youngster, who was diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy ath the age of 20 months, died suddenly days beforehand on Saturday, July 1.
Today, hundreds of fellow fans as well as club staff stood and applauded as Joshua made one last visit to the Halliwell Jones Stadium.
A procession led by motorbikes also featured horses, wearing primrose and blue feathered plumes on their heads, drawing a cart.
The Beamont Collegiate Academy pupil was given a special primrose and blue casket featuring the Warrington Wolves crest.
Joshua was then taken to St Elphin's Church for his funeral before a private burial at Fox Covert Cemetery.
Mourners wore Warrington Wolves shirts, with some having 'Josh 11' printed on the back.
