THOUSANDS turned out for the 26th Disability Awareness Day (DAD) at Walton Hall and Gardens today, Sunday.
Visitors were welcomed by more than 250 exhibitors, equipment suppliers, transport, holiday, leisure, employment, support groups and services, with plenty of entertainment on show too.
In its first quarter of a century, DAD, which is the world's largest not for profit voluntary-led disability exhibition, has inspired similar events across the globe, including in India, Egypt, Cameroon, Uganda, Sweden, Denmark and Gibraltar.
And the event is set to continue expanding with events in Thailand, Dubai and Zimbabwe.
