Man rescued after falling into River Mersey
A MAN was rescued after falling into the River Mersey near Riverside Retail Park.
At around 3.30pm on Monday police and paramedics were called to the scene where a man had been spotted in the water.
They helped him get out of the river and he was then checked over by ambulance staff for any injuries.
Luckily he was not hurt and did not need to be taken to hospital.
