WARRINGTON Borough Council has approved a scheme to build 31 properties on the site of a coach depot next to Padgate Station.
The Millman’s depot on Green Lane looks set to be turned into 17 three-bed houses, five four-bed homes and nine two-bed apartments after planning permission for the development was granted.
The 85.6sq m site, adjacent to Padgate Station, is described as ‘dilapidated’ by Woolston-based applicant the House Maker.
Residents had expressed concerns over the privacy of existing homeowners and the loss of wildlife on the site.
Buildings on the site will range between two and three storeys in height, with the apartment block earmarked for affordable housing.
