POLICE have issued a warning to residents after a rogue trader carried out 20 minutes of gardening and charged the victim £220.

The incident was reported to officers after the victim, from Great Sankey, was duped into paying the money on June 27.

It is believed the suspect was driving a white transit-style van with false registration plates.

Police have urged residents to be 'extra vigilant and report incidents of suspicious behaviour'.
