Professionals from the banking industry, online security, parental and child online safety, fraud and scams departments will be at Cheshire Oaks this weekend in response to the rising number of cybercrime cases across Cheshire.

DS Brian Faint said: "These latest figures show the scale and impact that online crime is having on individuals and businesses across Cheshire.

"By hosting this campaign at Cheshire Oaks, we hope to raise awareness of online crime in the region and highlight the basic steps people in Cheshire can take to avoid becoming victims of online fraud."

The two-day event will take place on Saturday and Sunday between 9am and 4pm at the shopping centre.

Members of the public will be able to join experts from the constabulary and the private industry to discuss any issues.
