WARRINGTON Wolves fans had their blood pressure tested ahead of the Wire’s clash with Catalan Dragons at the weekend.

Staff from Warrington Hospital’s stroke ward and the Stroke Association were on hand at the Halliwell Jones Stadium on Saturday in a bid to tackle the ‘silent killer’, high blood pressure.

Jane Guy, stroke recovery coordinator at the Stroke Association, said: “There are over nine-and-a-half million people in the UK with high blood pressure and seven million remain undiagnosed.

“It only take a moment to check your blood pressure and it’s one of the most important things you can do to reduce your risk of a stroke.

“A blood pressure test is quick and painless, and it could save your life.”
