A VOLUNTEER from Home-Start Warrington was among a number of unsung heroes invited to the Queen's Garden Party.
Diane Nicholson travelled to London to attend the annual event at Buckingham Palace to represent the charity which provides support for families who are struggling to cope.
She said: "I felt privileged to represent the effort and commitment that all Home Start volunteers give freely.
"The day was lovely, very relaxed with the sun shining.
"The royals all looked fabulous and the palace and the grounds were stunning.
"The Lord Lieutenant of Cheshire David Briggs refers to us as super mums – that is certainly true with each volunteer bringing different skills to help families in the Warrington community."
