ONE of Warrington's most historic summer festivals returned on Saturday.
Crowds gathered in Grappenhall for the annual walking day.
It saw Olivia Proctor crowned this year's rose queen and Holly Higham the 2017 rose bud.
The event included a service on St Wilfrid's school field led by Rev Jane Proudfoot followed by a procession through the village.
A packed afternoon of events then followed on the field.
