A PENKETH florist will be giving out posies to children who visit the shop with an empty jam jar tomorrow, Saturday, to celebrate British Flowers Week.
Families can pop along to Molly Blooms on Honiton Way before 2pm to pick up their free posy.
British Flower Week aims to encourage people to buy seasonal British blooms after figures revealed that the UK spends more than £2.2 billion a year on cut flowers, with 80 per cent of those being foreign flowers.
Molly Blooms is run by mother and daughter team Paula and Beth and Paula said: "We are excited to be able to offer our customers home grown produce.
"The flowers supplied by local growers are delivered fresh, straight from the field, having been cut only a few hours earlier and you really can't buy better than that."
