A GREENGROCERS that has been trading in Warrington Market for 65 years has moved to a new shop in the town centre.
Rigby’s, first established back in 1952, opened its new premises in the former Topshop store on Sankey Street today, Wednesday.
The new shop, Rigby’s Finest Fresh Foods, will offer its usual fare of fruit, vegetables and flowers as well as fine wines, barista coffees, fresh takeaway foods, a gourmet delicatessen and a cheese counter.
Owner Ray Rigby said: “This is an exciting and historic day for the business and for Warrington – we’ve expanded our offer and moved into a store for the first time.
“We’ve been serving the people of Warrington fresh fruit and vegetables for 65 years and now will be offering a fresh deli, cheese and fine wines along with fresh takeaway foods, including gourmet coffees and fresh fruit smoothies.
“We look forward to welcoming our customers, old and new.”
