A LORRY dealership in Culcheth could be bulldozed to make way for 16 new homes.
Elan Homes has submitted an application to Warrington Borough Council in order to gain planning permission to demolish Trucks 2 Go on Warrington Road in order to build eight four-bedroom and eight five-bedroom houses.
A design and access statement from the applicant said the development would ‘visually enhance’ the site.
The statement added: “Due to the site’s location at the very edge of the settlement of Culcheth and the build nature and existing use for the sale of trucks, it is considered the proposed development will make a positive impact on the greenbelt and wider area.
“This carefully designed, sustainable and deliverable scheme should merit the support of Warrington Borough Council and therefore be approved without delay.”
A consultation on the plans runs until Wednesday, July 12.
