FIREFIGHTERS were called to two separate fires on Pasture Lane and Thelwall Lane yesterday, Thursday.
At around 5.20pm a crew from Birchwood arrived at the scene on Pasture Lane where some trees had been 'deliberately' set alight and a water backback was used to put out the flames.
Around 30 minutes later a crew from Warrington Fire Station was called to Thelwall Lane where a pile of garden waste was in flames.
Firefighters used a hose reel jet to tackle the fire and luckily nobody was reported hurt at either incident.
Anyone with information about how these fires started should call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
