WOLVES have been hit by news that three more players have been ruled out of Sunday’s game against Castleford through injury.

Matty Russell came off during Sunday’s 44-4 defeat at Huddersfield and scans have revealed a slight strain in his medial knee ligament.

Ryan Atkins will also miss the trip to the Mend-A-Hose Jungle with a hernia injury, as will Kevin Brown with a strained ligament in his foot.

The Wire were already without Kurt Gidley (calf) as well as long-term absentees Rhys Evans, Harvey Livett, Toby King and Ben Currie.

Wolves head of coaching and rugby Tony Smith confirmed academy player Will Dagger will be given his senior debut against the Super League leaders and will start the game at full-back.
