A GROUP of travellers have left B&Q in Winwick.
Four caravans and associated vehicles made their way onto the store's Delph Lane site on Tuesday.
The council has today, Thursday, been informed that the travellers have vacated the land.
But four caravans and associated vehicles remain on playing fields, off Crab Lane, in Fearnhead.
The authority has visited the group on the land belonging to the council to carry out welfare assessments.
A council spokesman said: "We have now served a section 77 notice, giving this encampment until 4pm tomorrow to leave the site."
Four caravans and associated vehicles also remain at the town's Morrisons store, on Greenalls Avenue.
