A BANK and letting agent have joined forces to make a 'positive impact' on the community by offering affordable accommodation to those in need.
The 'socially-focused' venture has been implemented by Riverside Estates, with the support of Unity Trust Bank.
Latchford community shop Acorns to Oaks, on Poachers Lane, is selling upcycled items to raise funds for YMCA Warrington.
But following support from Jake and Kimberly Foden, from Riverside Estates, the charity has also entered into a partnership to support people who are being rehomed in the five studio flats at the site.
The move is being backed by Unity Trust Bank.
Seventeen affordable studios have also been opened at Osnath House, on Chorley Street, off Lythgoes Lane, as part of the initiative.
Former High Sheriff of Cheshire Kathy Cowell OBE officially opened both schemes before her time in the role ended in April.
Mr Heesom, relationship manager at Unity Trust Bank, said: "We are delighted to work with Riverside Estates.
"This is a great example of how Unity helps organisations to contribute a really positive impact on their community."
