A BOOK of condolence for the victims of the Manchester bombing will be available to sign in Lymm on Monday.

The village hall will be open for residents between 7.30pm and 9.30pm.

The Chairman of the Parish Council, John Bamforth said memorial flowers can also be left.

He added: “We are all horrified to hear about the attack at a concert, primarily for children in Manchester on Monday night.

"There have always been close ties between Lymm and Manchester and I am opening this Book of Condolence to let the people of Lymm express their sympathies to the families of those who died or were injured and to express our solidarity with the people of Manchester at this dark hour.”

Lymm Parish Council has also put the flag at the Cross at half mast and a silence will be held before the next parish meeting.

Meanwhile the Mayor Lymm's twin town Meung-sur-Loire in France has sent a message of support.

Pauline Martin said: "Wholeheartedly with you at this time of great sadness for the whole Manchester region and for your country, I wish to send you these few words of support.

"No words can ease the pain of the bereaved families and a country devastated by barbarians lacking any faith or legality.

"You are very much in our thoughts and we send you our most sincere support."

A book is also available in reception at Warrington Town Hall and residents can leave flowers outside the Golden Gates.

Twenty two people died on Monday after a bomb at an Ariana Grande concert at the Manchester Arena.
