I HAVE not lived in Warrington for three years now.
Since January I have been off work.
My friend had an MRI scan at Warrington Hospital on April 7 after first attending her meeting which was delayed by one hour.
I have been given a blue badge to allow me to park closer as I cannot walk far.
I ended up taking my friend to Warrington Hospital and I parked in the grounds. Unfortunately I asked a porter and he said with my blue badge I could park for free.
I did not obtain a ticket as was told I did not need one.
We waited for more than one hour for an MRI scan and then I drove my friend home.
On opening the mail on May 14, I got a fine from Parking Eye.
I phoned to be told that I was given wrong advice and should have paid.
I feel it is disgusting given that I asked prior to parking.
I did not read the signs as I was concentrating on getting my friend to her appointment so she would not be late.
So I would like to know why I was given the wrong advice? I will not use Warrington Hospital again.
