COMEDY legends John Bishop, Jason Manford and John Thomson have joined forces for a stand-up show that promises to be one of the funniest nights of the year.

Tickets are selling fast for the performance, which has been organised in aid of the Children Adventure Farm Trust (CAFT) near Lymm.

The comedians are all patrons of the charity which helps terminally ill, disabled and disadvantaged children from the north west enjoy holidays and day trips.

John Bishop said: “CAFT is a great local charity that Jason introduced me and my wife to a few years ago and so the fact that we are both patrons is his fault.

"The truth is once you see the work they do in allowing children and families have experiences that they would not ordinarily get them you can not fail to want to support them as a charity.

"The concept of a comedy night came from a chat between Jason and I and the fact that we could call immediately on the services of John Thomson as another patron made the decision easy.

"We have a great line up, it will be a great night and it's for a great cause. Jason also took me to see Man City once. It didn't have the same effect.”

The trio will be joined at The Lowry on May 27 by fellow funny stars Harriet Dyer and Vince Atta.

Jason Manford, who has fundraised for the charity since he became a patron in 2009, said: "It was this or a marathon and well, we're doing this."

John Thomson added: "After supporting CAFT for many years, especially resuming my role annually as Santa at the adventure farm, they offered me the role of patron.

"I was honoured and accepted graciously. What better way to express my gratitude than to offer my comedic services alongside not only two great comedians, but two friends and patrons of the charity too."
