A TEENAGE girl was punched in the face and her boyfriend assaulted in an unprovoked attack in Warrington last night.
Keelyn Morrison and her boyfriend were walking to a shop in Latchford when a drunken man lashed out.
The 16-year-old was taken to hospital where she had to have stitches to a wound just above her left eye.
Her anxious mum has launched an appeal on social media to try and trace the thug.
Kimberley Morrison posted: “My daughter and her boyfriend were walking to the shop last night about 10.30pm in Latchford and a man who was drunk attacked them both for absolutely no reason.
“As he went to grab Keelyn, her boyfriend Adam stepped in. The man then pushed Adam and started strangling and punching him, then punched Keelyn in the face.
“If anyone may knows who it may be from this description let me know please.”
Kimberley said the police had been informed.
