THE Tavern in Church Street will be hosting a ‘tap takeover’ of award-winning beers from the Warrington area on Tuesday.

Latchford-based 4Ts Brewery’s Stout, Howley’s Coach House Brewing Company’s Gunpowder Mild and Lymm Brewing Co’s Strong Ale will be available on draught.

It is to celebrate the beers winning the stout category, the mild category and the strong ale category respectively in the Cheshire CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) Awards 2016.

A buffet will also be available at the celebration from 8pm.

Jordan Millington, head brewer at 4Ts which owns The Tavern, said: “We will also be showcasing one other beer from each of the breweries along with two guest and three craft beers.

“The reason it is being held at The Tavern is that we were the runner-up in the 2016 Cheshire CAMRA pub of the year so it’s quite fitting to have the Warrington breweries being showcased in a great Warrington real ale pub.”
