ENGLISH Half Marathon organisers have revealed a new race for 2017.
As well as more than 6,000 people expected to take part in the half marathon on September 17, runners can also sign up for a 5k Night Run on Friday, September 15 at Victoria Park.
All finishers will pick up a bespoke race medal, finish line food as well a pint of a specially brewed beer from the local Wincle Beer Company.
It adds to a variety of events throughout the weekend including the 10k and the WireFM Mile.
Rob Griffiths, Race Director said “We’ve seen for some time that the English Half Marathon in Warrington has firmly planted itself within the national running calendar, but the uptake this year has been really overwhelming. "We pride ourselves on delivering a world class event here in Warrington.
"We’ll have to start planning now so we can top it for our 10th anniversary in 2018.”
The Night Run starts at 7.30pm.
