WARRINGTON Borough Council will carry out 'further investigations and assessments' on a group of unlawful travellers in Westbrook because of 'health concerns'.
The authority has visited land outside The Skymaster pub, on Apollo Park, near Gemini Retail Park, after five caravans and associated vehicles arrived on the site, which belongs to the council.
Welfare checks have also been carried out.
A council spokesman said: "There were some health concerns with some members of the group.
"We are having to carry out further investigations and assessments because of the health concerns."
The council was due to take court action today, Friday, to remove unlawful travellers from land in Howley.
However, two caravans and associated vehicles have now vacated Tanning Court, off Parr Street, meaning court action is not required.
