A MUM who parodied an Ed Sheeran hit to make the song about the trials and tribulations of parenthood has become a viral sensation.

Sophie McCartney's version of Shape of You has been viewed more than 20 million times on Facebook.

Her video describes every mums addiction to Toblerone and Tom Hardy as well as having her little ones Jack and Evelyn Lilley, who are aged four and 18 months respectively, wiping snot on her.

The 32-year-old, who lives in the south of Warrington, said: "I've actually only been blogging for about three months and I've never done a vlog before so I thought I'd do a funny one to begin with and something that would make other parents laugh.

"I downloaded the Ed Sheeran album and I've had Shape of You Stuck in my head.

"I started changing some of the words and I was just singing them to the kids and making them laugh.

"It's just about the daily struggles of being a mum or dad.

"You love your kids to bits but sometimes when they're launching sandwiches at your head or not doing as they're told it's like I love you but you're a little bit annoying.

"I thought that maybe 100 people might see it so I didn't quite expect it to have the reaction that it's had."

Blogger Sophie, who has lived in Warrington for four years, uploaded the video to Facebook on Wednesday, April 26, and within 24 hours it had been viewed 10 million times.

Now, more than 23 million people have watched the clip.

Sophie is also planning to release a children's book on the subject of potty training.

She added: "I've got a few more videos up my sleeve.

"I didn't think it was going to be my niche to do that kind of stuff but it's had such a good reaction that I'm definitely going to have to keep it up.

"In a good way it's ridiculous but it's just crazy how many people have seen it."
