IT'S International Firefighters' Day and we want to say thank you to the Warrington crews who dedicate their time to protecting us.

Whether they are rescuing passengers from a car crash, tackling a blaze in a derelict building or even saving lambs who have lost their way, firefighters at Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service are on call every day of the year to help out at emergencies.

And here are five big reasons to thank firefighters at stations in Warrington, and beyond, who responded to some of the biggest incidents this year.
