WE have been wowed by your beautiful scenic shots so far in our competition finding the best reader pictures for our 2018 calendar.

But this month we're looking for something a little bit different.

Throughout May we're looking for your best landmark or ‘hidden gem’ pictures taken in Warrington during the month of May.

Judges will be looking for pictures that avoid the most obvious landmarks in the area or captures them from an original angle like this picture from reader Gary Bibby.

Our Warrington Guardian Camera Club competition was launched at the start of the year as we search for photographs to highlight the beauty of the area we live in.

Winners will be announced at the end of the year and invited into our new office in Centre Park to see the calendar in print as well as the chance to pick up tips from our picture editor Dave Gillespie who has more than 30 years of experience in the field.

Pictures should be landscape-shaped rather than portrait.

Email your photographs to hannah.bargery@nqnw.co.uk before midnight on May 21.

Please include your name, address and where the photograph was taken with your entry.

Anyone who sends in a picture will also be invited to join the Warrington Guardian Camera Club Facebook group.
