A LATCHFORD childcare provider is a finalist in the ‘Oscars’ of the childcare industry – the National Day Nurseries Association (NDNA) Awards 2017.

The Cheshire Day Nursery and Kindergarten on Grammar School Road is one of only three settings shortlisted in the ‘Nursery of the year’ category for the North of England. The winner will be revealed next month at Emirates Old Trafford.

“These particular awards are the only national early years awards voted for by parents as well as judged on excellence, so we are absolutely thrilled,” says Stockton Heath resident Brenda Burling, Co-Director of The Cheshire Day Nursery Group.

“We would like to say a huge thank you to all the parents who took the time to vote. Their comments about the quality of provision we offer are a wonderful reflection of our hard-working team.”

Now in their 14th year, the NDNA Awards received a record response with over 200 entries and nearly 7,000 votes being cast by members throughout the British Isles and internationally.

The Latchford-based Nursery and Kindergarten will shortly be visited by one of the NDNA’s early years team, who will present their findings to the judging panel, determining the overall category winner.
