PLANS for a massive redevelopment of Walton Hall are set to be passed by councillors tonight, Wednesday.

As previously reported in the Warrington Guardian, the National Lottery has given £2 million to help repair and restore the glasshouses at the site.

It is part of a wider project to being them back to use as part of a project to provide a hub for training and learning.

And the council is also hoping to restore the old riding school, which sits alongside the Bridgewater Canal, and use that space after years of it lying derelict.

Both schemes are due to be discussed at a meeting of the development management committee.

Both have been recommended for approval by planners.
