I HAD to smile when reading the money for the latest congestion schemes in Warrington (Warrington Guardian, April 13).
I guess any investment is welcome but you do have to question the logic.
A couple of years ago dozens and dozens of small blue signs appeared across Warrington telling people how many miles it was to other parts of town.
The Guardian reported they were to encourage cycling.
I am in favour of that but surely cycle lanes are better than signs in Whittle Hall say pointing out where Great Sankey is or in Stockton Heath telling you the way to town.
I hope this new cycling money is spent in a more sensible manner.
