POLICE are investigating a suspected arson attack at the back of a tattoo studio on Folly Lane.

Firefighters were called to Bewsey following reports a fire had engulfed a caravan at 4am on Sunday and had spread to a nearby van and garage. 

Crews remained at the scene for more than three hours to extinguish the fire and carry out health and safety checks.

Detectives from Cheshire Police later attended the scene to carry out an investigation into the cause of the fire. 

Investigating officer Dean Hough said: “Thankfully nobody was injured as a result of the fire. 

"However, the fire totally destroyed both the van and the caravan and also caused substantial damage to the garage and its contents. 

“Arson is a serious crime and we are committed to doing all that we can to trace those responsible for the incident."

Investigations continue into the blaze.
