TWO men have been jailed for a total of nearly four years for a spate of burglaries in Bewsey and Dallam, including a break-in at a fast food restaurant.

Gareth Blinston, 38, and Mark Ingle, 40, were jailed for 22 months each for the burglaries at Alban Retail Park and two homes in Bewsey on Friday, March 24.

On Friday, January 27, the pair broke into a fast food outlet on the retail park and attempted to steal money from the till.

Earlier this month on Friday, March 13, they then attempted to break into two residential addresses in Bewsey.

Both Blinston, of Cronulla Drive, Great Sankey, and Ingle, of Haryngton Avenue, Bewsey, admitted one count of burglary and two counts of attempted burglary at Chester Crown Court.

Detective constable Stacey Nolan said: “This is a pleasing result and I hope it acts as a warning to other potential offenders.

“Burglary is a despicable crime and we are committed to doing all we can to bring offenders to justice.”
