THE TOWN’s top home grown bands and singers are set to feature on the match day playlist at Warrington Wolves homes games.

A partnership between the club and WArrington Music will see a host of artists’ songs played to fans at the Halliwell Jones Stadium before matches.

Fans will have a choice of three tracks by Warrington bands to vote on in the days leading up to games with a poll on the Wire’s Twitter account.

Warrington Music Festival headliners Slydigs will kick off the scheme, with one of their tracks being aired before Saturday’s match against Hull FC.

WArrington Music editor Lee Harman said: “It is a great opportunity for bands and artists to have their music played in front of thousands of people from their hometown, which can only help build their awareness.

“I was keen on building synergy between Warrington Wolves and the Warrington music scene as we can only be stronger together.

“The partnership is exciting and I look forward to seeing how we can develop this commitment in the future, with local bands played at prominent times.

“We hope to feature as many artists as we can and I am confident people will find new favourites over the coming weeks and will want to go check out the great bands from the local area who deserve the exposure we want to bring.”

Lee is also hoping to give bands the opportunity to play in the concourses of the Halliwell Jones Stadium on match days.

Artists who want their tracks to be feature on Warrington Wolves days should email an audio file of their song to warringtonmusic@gmail.com or go to warringtonmusic.co.uk.
