IT has been a busy six months for Miss Warrington Guardian Rachel Berwick after being crowned the winner of our hotly-contested competition last year.

But while the 25-year-old from Birchwood has enjoyed the experience so far, it does not compare to when she is spending quality time with her four-year-old son Charlie.

Ahead of Mother’s Day, we asked Rachel about what it means to be a mum.

She said: “Charlie means everything to me and my life revolves around him but I wouldn’t change that for a second.

“He has made my life compete.

“I was always told I might not be able to have children because of difficulties I had when I was younger and I’m still going through them now.

“He is my little miracle.

“I have always believed he was a present sent by my nan after she passed away. She is the reason I met Charlie’s dad as I was helping her in the market.

“She noticed we were both looking at each other and made me walk past him again.

“It was fate and Charlie looks just like her.”
