WARRINGTON'S Mo Adeniran is through to the final of The Voice UK.

The semi-finals of the talent show competition were held on ITV tonight, Saturday, with eight hopefuls vying for a place in next Saturday's final showdown.

But only four singers could make it, and after a public vote Mo soared through with his powerful performance of Human by Rag 'N'Bone Man.

The 21-year-old will now battle it out against Michelle, Jamie and Welsh duo Into the Ark to win a life-changing recording contract with Polydor Records.

Coach Jennifer Hudson told him: "You get this look in your eye, you go to a whole other place and you take us with you."

Fellow judge Gavin Rossdale said Mo's performance was 'like a religious experience'.

He added: "You're sensational, I love your voice.

"You make the show better. It was amazing."

Mo said: "I'm just happy that I got through it and didn't mess up the song."

Speaking about what it would mean to get into the final, he said: "My time on The Voice has been a very humbling experience and one that I will be very grateful for. I feel I can leave with my head held high."

Meanwhile the show bid farewell to Max, 24, who performed Boys Don't Cry by The Cure.

Speaking after his performance he said: "It was top, the band just made it so easy for me to come out of my shell.

"Me and Mo didn't expect to get this far. The odds of two flatmates from Warrington getting to the semi-finals is just ridiculous.

"I've had a really amazing experience."

His coach Gavin said: "He's so compelling, he makes me get up. He's like a magnet. He's got such a great voice and the best front man. He's got the full package."

And judge Tom Jones told Max: "When you get into a song you're determined to get as much out of it as possible. You're on fire and I love that."
