WARRINGTON North MP Helen Jones is among members in lockdown in the chamber of the House of Commons following a stabbing.
Her office has confirmed Mrs Jones is in the building, which is currently shutdown following an attack earlier this afternoon.
Meanwhile, Warrington South MP David Mowat was at an event away from Westminster this afternoon.
According to the Commons leader David Lidington, a police officer was stabbed close to the Houses of Parliament.
He told MPs the alleged attacker was then shot by officers.
Reports have also stated that a car has driven into pedestrians on Westminster Bridge, injuring up to 12 people.
Currently on lockdown in the Commons chamber. Thoughts & prayers with all those injured and affected.
