AN APPLICATION has been submitted to turn a town centre pub into a nursery.
Warrington Borough Council’s planning department has received an application for a change of use of the Brewhouse on Buttermarket Street that would see the grade two listed building converted into a day nursery.
Applicant Chesro Ltd states in its application that the nursery would open from 7am to 7pm.
Formerly known as the Old Town House and falling within the Buttermarket Street Conservation Area, planning permission was granted for the 253sq m pub to be turned into a nursery in 2011 but this has since expired.
A consultation on the plans runs until Friday, April 14.
