TRAFFIC police pulled over a car that was not displaying number plates - and were told the 'owner hadn't bothered because it would spoil the look'.
Officers issued a traffic offence report after stopping the blue Volkswagen in Burtonwood on Sunday.
Merseyside Police shared the picture of the car on Twitter - but said there was no need to blank out the registration because the car hadn't been carrying one.
They tweeted: "The car would still look excellent with the plates displayed legally.
"They were never going to get away with that."
