A PIECE of the town’s history on display at the RAF Burtonwood Heritage Centre has been selected as one of 70 objects to help tell the story of years gone by.
The 18-month initiative titled A History of Lancashire in 70 Objects was launched to make sure the past is never forgotten.
Debbie Thorpe-Apps, from the RAF Burtonwood Association, welcomed the news after the DC-54 cockpit was selected.
She hopes it will encourage more people to visit the centre in Old Hall next to Gulliver’s World.
