YOUNG people are needed to join Cheshire Police's Youth Commission to help the force to engage with the younger generation.
The commission was launched last year with 28 young people selected to represent communities across the county.
But it has now been revealed that the commission has received the backing to keep the group up and running for a further 12 months.
Police and crime commissioner for Cheshire David Keane said: "A major part of my role is to provide a voice for the public in policing and with more than a quarter of Cheshire’s population being under 25, young people have the right to be heard.
"The Youth Commission has provided me with great support by identifying the issues that matter to young people."
A recruitment drive has been launched to find willing members between the age of 14 and 25 to join.
The deadline for applications is April 18 at 12pm.
