THE firm behind the new Time Square development in Warrington has reported rising profits and turnover.

Morgan Sindall Group, the parent company of Muse Developments, posted its prelimary results for the year ending December 31, 2016 on Thursday.

Its adjusted operating profit was up 26 per cent to £48.8 million on revenues of £2,562 million which rose seven per cent on the previous year.

The year saw work start on the £107 million Time Square development, previously known as Bridge Street Quarter, in Warrington town centre.

Cineworld will be the principal tenant of the 300,000 sq ft retail and leisure-led scheme which will provide Warrington with a 13-screen, 2,500 seat, multiplex cinema.

The project will also see the development of a 42,000 sq ft market hall, family friendly restaurants, new council offices, retail units and a new public square.
