A DOG walk with a swashbuckling difference has been organised by students to fundraise for Cheshire Dogs’ Home.

Patch the pirate dog will be leading walkers and their families on a treasure hunt themed trail from the Knutsford Road centre on Sunday.

Visitors will help Patch search for his lost friends on the route before looking for the prize.

The University of Chester events students, who planned the walk, have also promised refreshments, a raffle, face painting and games for youngsters.

Charlotte Howard, student team leader, said: “We are really looking forward to raising money for Manchester and Cheshire Dogs’ Home and are so excited to host the treasure trail, which we have worked so hard to create.

“It promises to be a great day out for everyone, and all in aid of a wonderful charity.”

The event runs from 10am until 2pm and tickets cost £4 for adults and £3 for children.
