PLANS to extend a listed building in Lower Stretton have been approved.
The decision from planning officers paves the way for a single-storey side extension to Tanyard House – a Grade II listed building, on Well Lane.
A planning policy statement confirmed the work will be carried out on the south facing gable end wall of the house.
It added: "The application site is a detached dwelling set in a rural landscape, with residential development abutting to the north west, north east and south west.
"The property is set in a large plot with access to the road frontage.
"In the past a glazed conservatory was erected and relatively recently removed from the property.
"Internal alterations and repairs have been undertaken and listed building consent sought and granted."
