NINE of Warrington's most wanted remain at large as detectives continue in the hunt to trace the suspects.

Photographs and details of the alleged crimes have been published on the Crimestoppers website and can be viewed in the most wanted gallery.

The pictured men and one woman are suspects who are wanted by police for questioning in relation to different crimes but their whereabouts remain unknown.

Those being sought on the list are wanted for serious offences including murder, robbery and rape.

Lymm resident Chris Guest More Jr is one of the UK’s most wanted criminals after he fled to Spain following the shocking torture and murder of Brian Waters in June 2003.

Three men have been jailed for the murder but More remains at large – more than 10 years on.

Mr Waters, a father-of-two from Stapeley, was tied to a beam and systematically beaten and tortured with acid poured on him at Burnt House Farm, near Knutsford.

He suffered 123 injuries and 23 fractures, dying after blows from a metal bar ruptured his internal organs.

Gang members Otis Matthews from Greater Manchester, James Stuart Raven from Radcliffe and 54-year-old John Wilson from Derbyshire were found guilty of his murder in December 2004.

But More Jr, of Burford Lane, escaped 36 hours after the savage attack took place and has not been seen since.

His father Christopher More Sr was jailed for nine months in prison for assisting an offender in October 2004.

He visited his son in Malaga with clothes, a new mobile phone and £2,500 in cash.

Other wanted men include Clive Murray who is suspected of being involved in a sexual assault attack and rape in Rixton on two children.

Daniel Stringer and Gregory Horan are wanted for their alleged involvement in the supply of drugs in the town.

Danijal Darman remains on the list for questioning in relation to a racially aggravated public order offence in Penketh while Thomas Crank remains a suspect in a robbery case in Stockton Heath.

Police want to quiz Tania Pendlebury after she was allegedly in possession of a knife in Warrington while Anthony Thomas is wanted for questioning in relation to a burglary in Penketh.

Robert Harcourt is alleged to have been involved in the theft of cars in Warrington.
