PROPOSALS for a new birds of prey centre in Risley have been submitted to Warrington Borough Council's planning department.
A new rescue and conservation centre for birds of prey plus an education centre could be built on land at Taylor Business Park off New Hall Lane.
The site would provide a new home for Wild Wings, which is relocating from Bents Garden Centre in Glazebury.
Not-for-profit organisation Wild Wings treats injured barn owls that are found in Cheshire, Merseyside, Manchester and Lancashire.
Around 5,000 visitors are expected at the centre per year.
Their new 6,700sq m site would open between 10am and 5pm from Tuesdays to Sundays, creating three full-time and two part-time jobs.
A consultation on the proposals runs until Monday, February 20.
