REGULARS of a town centre pub have raised hundreds of pounds for dementia patients at Warrington Hospital.
A raffle held over Christmas at the Lower Angel on Buttermarket Street raised a total of £450 for the Forget Me Not ward, a specialist dementia unit at the hospital.
Landlord Andrew Wharfe decided to fundraise for the ward as his dad had Alzheimer’s disease, with the money set to go towards a revamp of the unit's garden.
Andrew said: “I think they deserve every penny they can get.”
