A VEHICLE fire on the M6 in Lymm closed the motorway in one direction this afternoon.
The car blaze on the northbound carriageway near to junction 20 closed all four lanes until around 1.45pm, when lanes three and four reopened.
Traffic coming from the M56 onto the M6 northnound was also affected, but all lanes have now reopened after Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service crews extinguished the blaze.
